Eloquent Arts Centre

When Jan and Romanah, founders of the Eloquent Arts Centre, approached us in 2023, they had an inspiring vision: to transform their much-loved Aston dance studio into a welcoming, high-quality space worthy of the incredible talent it nurtures. Their work changes lives, providing young people with a safe, positive, and creative outlet that keeps them away from potentially harmful paths. For us, this project wasn’t just about design and build; it was about supporting a cause that uplifts an entire community.

The Brief

The goal was clear: redesign and refurbish the Aston studio to create a professional, inspiring, and durable environment that would support dancers and visitors for years to come. The new space needed to meet professional performance standards while retaining the warm, community-first spirit of Eloquent Arts Centre.

With the project funded heavily by local grants and with a modest budget to stretch across every detail, we knew collaboration would be key to achieving the desired look and feel without compromise.

The Challenge

This was a project with big ambitions, a tight timescale, and a limited budget. Works started in October 2024 and had to be completed by January 2025, meaning every decision had to be efficient, coordinated, and value-driven.

The financial limitations meant that achieving the high-end finish Jan and Romanah dreamed of would require creativity, resourcefulness, and, importantly, the generosity of our trusted suppliers and contractors.

The Solution

We worked closely with our network of partners, many of whom went above and beyond to support the project with discounted or free-of-charge materials. From flooring and lighting to furniture and wall finishes, each contribution played a vital role in turning the vision into reality.

The result is a revitalised dance centre with modern performance facilities, durable finishes, and a welcoming, uplifting atmosphere. A space that truly reflects the energy and ambition of Eloquent Arts Centre.
